For sale is a fabulous antique mission quartersawn oak settee signed life time which was a division of grand rapids bookcase and chair co. In the last 20 years life time has been rated by mission collectors and construction experts to be equal to that of the works of stickley, limbert and others. The seat on it was worn and torn and the springs needed to be retied. At any rate I had my seat redone years ago and the springs retied.
At the time he did not have black so he recovered it in brown. It is in near mint condition with original finish. I hope the pictures show well enough but it is put together via tendon, mortise, and pegs or dowels. It is as solid as the day it was made. The back of the settee is curved to accommodate for two people to sit on it and feel the comfort of the curved backs.
It is 38 inches tall, 23 inches deep and 45.5 inches wide and 19.5 inches from the floor to the top of the seat. It is in great antique condition, very solid and sturdy in every way and ready to place in your home. There are no issue conditions to report. Again, life time mission pieces have gained much notoriety being equal to stickley pieces. This item is in the category "Antiques\Furniture\Other Antique Furniture".
