Vintage Stickley-Style Mission Oak Morris Bowed Arm Recliner Chair & Ottoman

Heres your opportunity to own a fantastic piece of mid-Century history! This is a vintage reclining Stickley-Style Morris chair with its matching ottoman! In fact, we have TWO of these beautiful sets. The design of the chair and coordinating ottoman (or foot rest) is a tribute to William Morris, the leader and champion of the Arts & Craft Movement.

The chair is known as abow arm recliner and features loose cushions for the base and back. The original of this recliner is extremely rare and commands high prices (in the thousands just for the chair). The construction features 3 adjustable back positions. This is a solid wood set, only the tops of the arched arms are veneered with old mission oak.

Otherwise these are solid oak pieces. The cushions are firm and are upholstered in a solid, rich brown polyester-cotton fabric. 30 ½ (side to side) x 37 ½ (top of recliner to floor) x 24 (height of arched arm). The bowed arm is 36 in length.
