Vintage Mission Solid Tiger Oak Arts & Crafts Stickley Comfy Stuffed Chair. Gorgeous Tiger Oak arm chair (not a rocker) from the early 1900s Arts & Crafts Mission era. Best feature is the lovely golden striped wood that glows in the light that is no longer manufactured outside of custom pieces. Chair is stolidly built all wood (no plywood, no chip board or manufactured wood- fancy term for pressed sawdust).Traditional construction and design with wide arms and slat back. Seat was restuffed and recovered with a neutral sage green fabric keeping original springs (original covering was dark red leather, which was too damaged to repair). Look at all the cushion photos as color changes a bit in different light levels. The chair is not signed but similar style to early Stickley. Overall condition is good with wear and tear consistent with age, except for the left arm which has a modest surface crack that is not opened up and doesnt go through the wood. The arm is solidly attached to the chair, doesnt wobble and should hold for many more years.
