Vintage Mission Oak Morris Recliner Lounge Chair Arts & Crafts Quarter Sawn Wood

This mission oak morris chair has metal brackets and a rod to adjust the back that is hinged along the bottom back side. The back is 40" tall straight up and the arms are 24" tall and 30 1/2" wide to the outside with a seat height of 15" tall. The seat cushion is 21 1/2" wide by 22 1/2" deep and the back mortises backwards in four positions.

The form cushions sit on a spring frame on the bottom and wood frame at the back and were custom made for this chair in the mid century when the chair was restored with polyurethane and vinyl for an overall fantastic look and very sturdy. There are eight square spindles on each side and the arms are solid oak paddle shaped with some wear but good oak designed wood. The front of the chair is quarter sawn tiger oak and the chair was a quality piece and a stunner back in the day. There is a stamped number under one arm "648" and there are no others tags on this chair. The hinges are marked pat.
