EXCELLENT PAIR OF ANTIQUE ARTS & CRAFTS / MISSION OAK CHAIRS ARMCHAIR & ROCKING CHAIR WITH MATCHING FOOTSTOOL. Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this exceptional pair of antique Arts & Crafts armchairs. Because it has the same upholstery and came to us with the other chairs, we decided to include it in the lot without a premium to the price. Demand for high quality and comfortable antique arts & crafts furniture has risen considerably in recent years particularly as more Americans continue to build homes outside of large cities.
The entire set is built in the tradition of the Stickley craftsmen with frames crafted from a premium grade of quartersawn white oak, also marketed as tiger oak, slat frame construction, and curved back rests. The upholstery is in great condition and provides a high degree of comfort and support with the original spring seats. The frames of each chair are incredibly strong and dependable as they have been treated with considerable care and maintained well by previous owners.
