Old Mission Craftsman Arts & Crafts 15 5/8 Square Oak Foot Stool, Cutout Sides
You are viewing a very old Mission/Arts & Crafts foot stool. It features wood (I believe oak) with a wooden pin construction, and simple arrow and bar cutout designs on all 4 sides. The decorative cut out panels are attached with screws and nails.
The top is leather with brass tacks. It was found at an estate near Philadelphia in a home that was owned by the same family for 3 generations. I took indoor and outdoor pictures, so it looks more orange in the outdoor pictures. The actual color is closer to the second picture. The stool is in very good condition, with only a few light dents in the legs.
The leather top and brass tacks appear to have been painted over in a brown paint. The top has some little flecks and scratches on it. It is very well made, strong and sturdy.
