Old Antique American Mission Arts & Crafts Era Oak Sofa Storage Bench Furniture. This is a nice old antique large Mission era bench sofa with storage beneath the seat. The item is antique and it is an original Mission Arts & Crafts Period piece of furniture.

The item is made of Oak (see photos). The item is a very large sofa with a lift up lid that has storage underneath (see photos). I do not see a maker's mark (see photos).

The item is from the USA and it is American in origin. It looks to be by a well known maker. The item is an antique item. The item is from an estate liquidation (see photos). The item measures in total about 34 inches high at the corner posts, it measures about 30 inches deep from the front edge to the back side and it is about 84 inches wide from side to side. The lid to the bench is loose and needs to be reattached. The interior storage compartment under the seat has some loose cedar wood shingles that lined the space. I do not know if the shingles were original or added at some point. The item has damages and it is in need of repair and restoration. There are some cracks to some of the oak sections that need to be re-glued or replaced. There have been some nails added at some point in the past.

I will include a link to many additional photos. There are two non original cloth covered cushions included (one for the seat and one for the back rest). This is the largest Mission bench / sofa I have seen. The item would be a great addition to a Mission era Craftsmen home or lodge cabin home. The item has some chips to the wood, some losses, some damages, finish wear and losses and other obvious signs of wear from age and use.
