Antique Globe Wernicke Arts & Crafts / Mission quarter sawn oak barrister bookcase section or stack, 1 stack 14 1/2 high. 34 1/2" long x 14 1/2" height x 11 front to back; Size A-C Single D 12 1/2 Grade 998 1/2. It is heavier than most - it is made of oak and weighs 22 lb 15 oz unboxed. Does not have its Globe Wernicke label inside; it was completely refinished inside and out; it is a Size A-C Single D 12 1/2 Pattern 312 Grade 998 1/2. The 12 1/2 refers to the inside height for books, so 14 1/2" outside, 12 1/2" height capacity inside.
Size D refers to the depth. In very good vintage preowned condition; original glass, knob has been replaced; was refinished inside and out quite a number of years ago. This is an antique -about 100 years old -- and has expected signs of age and wear, but really is in remarkably good condition for its age. Door opens and closes smoothly. Ready to use, and add to your bookcase.
