Arts & Crafts Rocker Mission Oak Rocking Arm Chair Quarter Sawn Antique
I have up for sale a Very Nice Antique circa 1st quarter of the 20th Century Quarter Sawn Mission Oak solid seat low back Rocker / Rocking Chair. Its a Handsome Rocker, sound and sturdy, and ready for a new home. I have no idea of the maker. No pegs and its faux mortise and tenon construction - the tenons are nailed on. With that said its a solid and sturdy rocker, handsome when seen in person. The rocker stands approx 35" tall at the back vertical posts, its approx 28" across the outside of the arm rests, approx 25-3/4" from the floor to the top of the arms, roughly 32" deep, approx 19" inside the front part of the arms - narrowing somewhat to 16-3/4" to the backrest, approx 15 measured from the floor to top of the seat. The rocker is comfortable to sit in and is nicer looking when viewed in person, in my opinion. There are some minor imperfections but nothing significant. One of the backside wood plugs is a homemade replacement, a buddy of mine made it for me. You will only notice when you look up close. The finish is very nice for its age. I gently wiped it down with an oily rag otherwise the finish is how I found it. This item is in the category "Antiques\Furniture\Chairs". The seller is "whyworka" and is located in this country: US.
