Antique Paine Furniture Company of Boston MA. Antique Paine Style Solid Oak Wood "Lifetime Furniture" Design made with all wood dowels. Finding a set intact of this caliber is rare - 5 piece original set. This furniture was finely made copies of the very popular Gustave Stickley Mission Furniture. The only changes made to the original furniture was replacement of the original leather seat covers which were dried out.
The original mixed hair stuffing remain and original springs remain intact. Included with the set is a letter of provenance from Paine Furniture Company dated August 9, 1968 that is addressed to my Mother. This company is no longer in business. They closed in 2006 after 104 years in business.
I will also include a relative informational news clipping from 1981 and a sheet of information regarding the Paine Furniture Company. The couch back cushion is not original but added for comfort. I have tried to describe and measure this set as best as possible. I welcome professional appraisals and serious potential buyers to offer suggestions and ask questions.
