Antique Lifetime Furniture Slat Side Rocker 689 Arts Crafts Mission Oak. This is a Lifetime Rocking Chair, number 689, manufactured by Grand Rapids Bookcase and Chair Co. It is beautifully scaled and a great example of the Arts and Crafts Era design and manufacturing ethic. The chair is oak with a good color from an old refinishing. The joints are very solid. The back has two wide vertical. And the arms have three vertical slats with a corbel under each.

The top of each arm has a square slightly raised through tenon joint. Six pinned joints, two with double dowel pins. The drop-in seat is not original and has been recovered in good quality fabric. The chair has marks and scuffs from use and needs a good cleaning. The tops of the arms are lighter in color due to wear.
